On the back of her highly acclaimed “Diagonal- EP at the start of summer, Anja Schneider returns with this stunning two track EP. Direct from the Riverside Studios complex in Berlin, Schneider presents us with “Hey- and “Rio-, two differing tracks which stay true to her distinct sound. “Hey- was written as Schneider prepared for the mobilee rooftop summer parties in Barcelona this year. As the name suggests, she wanted to get people’s attention and have a track of her own that no one else had. “For me the track had to leave you with a big smile and an open heart-, says Anja. “Hey- manages to do just that and more. As a tribute to Chicago legend Ron Hardy, it pulsates with energy and is heavily aimed at the dance floor. Anja Schneider’s passion for early Detroit sounds also shines through towards the end as the subtle acid lead builds. “Rio- on the other hand, presents more melodies yet still manages to maintain energy with its pulsating low-end. “Rio- was inspired by the good times Anja Schneider spent in Ibiza with family and friends this summer, and more specifically, by the island’s unique sunsets.
